Wildcats Making a Global Impact! 🌍
On March 1st, Deep Run’s Model UN team hosted their 3rd annual conference, bringing students together to tackle real-world issues in simulated UN committees.
This year, the event supported The John Dau Foundation, with founder John Dau in attendance. A South Sudanese refugee and activist, he is featured in the documentary God Grew Tired of Us (produced by Brad Pitt) and works to provide humanitarian aid in war-affected regions.

Freeman challenged us to a Cereal Drive Showdown to support Feed More, and we accepted! Bring boxes of cereal to the game and drop them off at the entrance. The school that collects the most by halftime wins the bragging rights!

This weekend, our Deep Run Model UN delegation represented us with excellence at Henrico High School! Several of our delegates brought home individual awards, and as a team, we earned "Outstanding Delegation"—the second-highest honor of the conference! 🎉👏
